Masai Mara Reserve
The Masai Mara Reserve is the 1 510 square kilometre northern extension of the Serengeti Plains. It is located 270km
from Nairobi, a 5-6 hour journey by road and about 45 minutes by air. The reserve is world-famous for the annual
migration of over a million wildebeest and zebras on their trek from the Serengeti in the south in search of fresh
grasslands. This takes place each year between July and October.

Amboseli Reserve
Amboseli is a 4-hour drive or a 35-minute flight from Nairobi. The reserve lies below Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest
mountain, and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. An unforgettable experience here is the sight of animals in
the savannah silhouetted against snow-capped “Kili”, as the mountain is called.

Tsavo National Park
This is one of the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries. It is accessible by road from Mombasa and is famous for its elephant
viewing and man-eating lions, famous from the movie, Ghost in the Darkness. The park is divided into Tsavo East and
Tsavo West.

Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru is a soda lake below the cliffs of the Great Rift Valley, 160km from Nairobi. It is world famous for having the
greatest variety of birds on earth, with nearly one million flamingoes forming an unforgettable pink ribbon along the edges
of the Lakes.

Samburu/Shaba Reserve
This rugged and remote reserve is a 6-hour drive or a 1-hour flight from Nairobi. Samburu is a fascinating, dramatic
combination of arid semi-desert scrublands combined with the springs of Buffalo Springs. Visitors here enjoy seeing some
of Kenya’s rarer species, including the long-necked Gerenuck and the blue-legged Somali.

Mount Kenya National Park
Mount Kenya is an imposing extinct volcano dominating the landscape of the Kenyan Highlands, East of the Rift. It lies
about 140 km North, North-East of Nairobi. The mountain has two main peaks - Batian (5200m) and Nelion (5188m). The
mountains slopes are cloaked in forest, bamboo, scrub and moorland giving way on the high central peaks to rock, ice and
snow. Mount Kenya is an important water catchment area, supplying the Tana & Northern Ewaso Ngiro systems. Wildlife
includes baboon, buffalo, bushbuck, duiker, elephant, hyena, jackal, black rhinoceros and zebra.
